Spots and Dots and Dots and Spots
"Spots and Dots and Dots and Spots" began as a typography study, featuring a custom-made font designed specifically for the dog's spots. Each illustration was first hand-drawn with pencil and paper, then scanned and transformed into vector shapes using Illustrator. This book was created to help young children understand emotions through body language. Since the dog in the story cannot express emotions through facial expressions, its posture and movement guide readers in recognizing feelings through nonverbal cues.
That’s Rubbish
"That's Rubbish" takes the concept of a bear living in a garbage can and applies it to a child's world. Inspired by how human interference in nature attracts bears to our food, the story introduces a theme that kids may relate to later in life—especially when camping or hiking in areas where bears roam. Beyond that, the book carries an important message about nutrition: what we eat affects how we feel. By showing the effects of an all-sugar diet, the story helps children understand the importance of balanced eating for energy and well-being throughout the day.
Each illustration was hand-drawn with ink and brought to life with watercolor, giving the artwork a rich, organic feel that complements the story’s natural themes.
Fast Tempo
"Fast Tempo" was created to show children that rushing through tasks can cause them to miss opportunities—exciting new paths, experiences, and moments of joy they might not have noticed otherwise. Using music as a relatable theme, the story helps young readers understand the value of slowing down and being present. Each illustration was drawn digitally, allowing for vibrant colors and dynamic compositions that bring the energy of the story to life.
